3D Latte Art

One of Tokyo’s most popular cafés focuses on the craft of latte art. Being such a desired café, HATCOFFEE fills up space quickly, so you’ll want to come in as soon as they open or make a reservation! Luckily, we walked into this influential coffee shop as they opened and only waited 30 minutes to order our coffee. The wait time for visitors without reservations is often a few hours, so making a reservation ahead of time would be beneficial– the baristas’ talents are a sight you won’t want to miss. They were able to sculpt my dog Fae and my boyfriend’s cat, Boo, and they look identical to their photos!

Get Your Photo Ready!

Although the focal point at HATCOFFEE is its latte art, don’t worry; they also have other drinks, food, and sweets available for purchase. For those visiting the simple café for the incredible and fun art, the lattes offered include Cafe Latte, Café Mocha, Choco Latte, Caramel Latte, Honey Latte, Tea Latte, Vanilla Latte, and Seasonal Latte. Be sure to have a picture ready to show the baristas upon ordering! You’ll have the option to choose either 3D or 2D art. Other coffee options are Espresso, Americano, Espresso Tonic, Coke, Ginger, Ale, Grapefruit, Orange, Black Tea, and alcoholic beverages such as Craft Beers – Today’s Special, Cocktails, and Whiskey.

More Than Just Art

When it comes to food and sweets, be sure to show up with an empty stomach because they have filling options! For their food, they offer Curry Menu Of The Day, Salade Plate Of The Day, and Deli Plate Choose Rice or Muffin. On the sweet side, they have Muffin Sweet And Deli, Daily Sweets, and Daily Terrine. If you’re unfamiliar, terrine is a layered dessert! HATCOFFEE also offers a Food Set Drink. Your choice of a meal with either coffee, grapefruit juice, orange juice, black tea, coke, or ginger ale. This would not include the distinguished lattes.

Come Visit!

HATCOFFEE is open six days a week from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and is closed every Wednesday in Taito City. Since latte art is traditionally made with foamed milk, your 3D latte could taste more milky than espresso-y because it is additional foam, so I suggest adding an extra shot of espresso to your cup of Joe to balance it out! Whether you choose 3D or 2D art for your latte, you won’t regret it! The baristas can sculpt almost anything with foam onto your mug. If you ever have the chance to visit, be sure to reserve a spot at this esteemed café and have your picture ready for a great experience!
