In the heart of LaBelle–sits a cozy cottage.

Cottage Under The Oaks is much more than just your standard coffee shop. They sell clothes, shoes (which are available in their store–as well as their website!), hand-made candle/air fresheners, honey, and hand-made earrings! The best part about all of that is they try their best to keep all their products locally-sourced! Before walking inside, the exterior is snug– the perfect design for the chilly seasons. They have a small sitting area outside where you may take your morning coffee, a brown wooden ramp leading to the inside, and lots of fall decorations! The front door is a pastel pink, bringing contrast to the brown that surrounds the outside. Now, to the inside! The design impressed me BIG TIME. Each wall was encompassed with a different color, a different material– but it all worked. It blended well with one another and made the cottage feel welcoming. They have a couple fitting rooms in the back, where you can try on any clothes that are inside of the shop. The rooms are circular shaped, with a curtain that goes completely around it. And if you don’t want to drink your coffee at the coffee bar, there’s a couch in front of the window, allowing you to chitchat, feel the warmth coming from the window, and people-watch.

COFFEE TIME! Cottage Under the Oaks has variety of tasty coffees. And GOOD NEWS: They do have seasonal drinks, just ask the barista for seasonal AND specialty flavors (some flavors change due to the season). This cozy cottage offers lattes, macchiatos, cappuccinos, americanos, hot cocoa, chai lattes, single or double espresso shots, green tea refreshers, and–the side of the menu I found the most interesting–cold brews. They have a collection of cold brews. They have 5 in total: “Bri”, White Chocolate & Lavender, “Brit”, Gingerbread Man, and Mama Bear’s Elderberry Coffee!

  • Bri“: cold brew, Italian sweet cream, and half & half
  • White Chocolate & Lavender: cold brew, white chocolate cream, half & half, and caramel
  • Brit“: cold brew, Italian sweet cream, half & half, and caramel
  • Gingerbread Man: cold crew, chai, spiced brown sugar, and half & half
  • Mama Bear’s Elderberry Coffee: local elderberry & espresso, Italian sweet cream, vanilla, and half & half

This cozy cottage has 2 sizes–regular and large! It can be pricey, so make sure you have your wallet filled! It can be OH-SO tempting to see the rest of the goodies in the shop and not buy at least one item (or two). For the custom cold brews, the regular size is $5.50, while the large is $8.25. The regular size is 12 ounces, while the large is a whopping 20 ounces (can you guess which one I ordered?). Their espresso beans come from Miami– extra strength coffee with a rich, smooth flavor for those who need an additional pick me up!

Don’t fret, mug lovers! Mugs are available, just be sure to ask for one! This cozy cottage is also ideal for anyone perfecting the art of “cottage-core”. If you’ve been stumped recently trying to re-do your closet with a cute, soft cottage style– Cottage Under the Oaks is the place for you! I’m a huge sweater wearer (ironically so–as I live in the sunshine state), and this cozy cottage has SO many sweaters I’m just aching to buy. They also sell flowing rompers, overalls, long dresses, flowy shirts, breezy shorts/pants, sandals, booties, etc., everything you can think of in all shades of color! They’re open Monday through Saturday, 9am-5pm everyday (excluding Sunday). If you’ve been wanting to try a new place, or you’re a traveler who’s wandered into the small town of LaBelle–make your way over to Cottage Under the Oats for a cozy cup of coffee! You can help the economy and the environment by shopping local! Thanks a’latte!
