Making a lifestyle change can be difficult. It means finding places that better suit your needs– especially when it comes to your morning ritual. Most cafe’s are known for their brunch options, specializing in eggs, cheese, and lots of milk… which is not ideal for someone who practices a plant-based diet. For those of you who have made the switch, The Living Vine Organic cafe is predominantly vegan, perfect for mushroom coffee lovers. As per their motto “food is medicine, and medicine is food“, you can expect only the best, organic, and pesticide-free food and drinks here at the Living Vine cafe. The first whiff of The Living Vine hits you like a shot of Ginger. A strong and natural scent, this raw cafe lives up to everything they promote.

The Living Vine cafe offers a variety of delicious food and beverages. They make every meal by hand (and love), so if you’re in a rush, it’s best to order ahead. Some of these options they offer are Acai/ Pitaya Bowls, Juices/ Shots, Smoothies/ Shakes, Coffee, Teas/ Specialty Drinks, Bottled Beverages, Housemade Drinks & Tap, Baked Goods (all vegan and gluten-free friendly), Wraps/ Sandwiches, Specials, Salads, Soups, Toast, Sides, Breakfast (only until 11am), Kids Menu, Retail Items. PHEW, try saying all that 3 times fast. Their specials are always a fun surprise as they change daily, so if you want to know what their Special of the Day is, you can head over to their social media account where they post it every morning!

If you’re reading this article, I can only assume you love coffee, and coffee there is. If you’ve never heard of mushroom coffee, you have now (and should try it asap). I discovered mushroom coffee before finding this cafe because I’ve been trying to cut back on caffeine (ironically as it may sound). The mushrooms are infused with coffee, helping your gut and immune system, while keeping you stress free AND energetic (without the not-so-cool jitters). This special coffee has less caffeine than a normal cup of Joe with more health benefits than you would a regular cup that has no fungi. The Living Vine offers two options when it comes to their mushroom coffee– Mental Clarity and Immunity. Make sure to specify which one you’d like to try out– or let it be a surprise!

There’s several baristas who work at the Living Vine cafe and alternate work days. Each barista I’ve met during my visits have been more than a pleasure. Passionate about the food and drinks they make, each barista is ahead of the game when it comes to serving you. So, before running off to this plant-based euphoria… The Living Vine opens Mon-Fri 9am-4pm. On Saturday they open at 10am and close at 2. And Sunday’s are always a no-go! And remember… Let food be thy medicine, and medicine be thy food (Hippocrates)!
