Hidden in plain sight on the streets of downtown Los Angeles, Tilt Coffee Bar lets its transparency shine through with walls of glass that give the space an open, welcoming atmosphere. As soon as you walk in, you’re welcomed by friendly baristas and a cute collection of Ghibli figurines lining the coffee bar. Inside, there’s just a cozy bench to sit on, but the outdoor patio has plenty of room for a crowd.
If you’re hungry, this place might not hit the spot. Tilt Coffee Bar keeps it simple with just drinks, including a few caffeine-free choices. This café offers Coffee, Filter (pour-over), Signature Drinks, Tonic Drinks, Tea, Non-Coffee, and Caffeine-Free options. With signature drinks that are so light and dreamy, it’s no wonder all of them have “cloud” in their names! The signature drinks available are Cloud Mocha, Cloud Latte (not just any simple latte– there’s cloud cream!), Cinnamon Cloud, Nutty Cloud, and Cloud Matcha (one sweetened, the other ceremonial grade.)
Tilt Coffee Bar is best known for its Cloud Latte and Cloud Mocha drinks. According to them, they have inspired ‘Cream Top’ trends across LA’s specialty coffee scene! If you’re curious about what the “cloud” drinks look like, just imagine a fluffy circle on the top of your latte. This café is open every day from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. (except Thursday, which closes at 5 p.m.) Be aware, there are two locations. Besides downtown L.A., Tilt Coffee Bar has another location in Los Angeles called Tilt Coffee Century City.
