Hidden beyond a garden of plants and flowers blossoms a vibrant coffee truck. Friend at the Farmer Café sits at the end of the green path inside of a nursery and garden center in DeLand, FL. Fitting for their location, this café’s mascot is a little chick. Enjoy a warm cup of coffee during the chilly December month as you stroll through the lively garden. You might even find a cute succulent or a large potted plant to take home!
This quaint outdoor café offers an extensive selection of coffee and brunch items. Here is a list of coffee drinks: Americano, Café Con Leche, Cappuccino, Cold Brew, Chai Latte, Cortado, Double Espresso, Flat White, Latte, Long Black, Matcha Latte, Mocha Latte, Johnny Special (regular iced coffee with milk and vanilla syrup), Red Velvet Latte, and Vietnamese Coffee. For those with kids, this café offers Kids Fluffy, a combination of steamed milk and chocolate powder! We tried the Red Velvet Latte, and it did not disappoint. So, if you’re looking for a sweet treat with a caffeine kick, I definitely recommend ordering that drink.
Friend of the Farmer Café is family-friendly and dog-friendly (dogs are family!). For kids, various games are available. There’s also a bookshelf to borrow from. If you or your kids (or dog) love to read, when is a better time to read than while drinking coffee? Not only does this café serve delicious coffee, but it also offers a variety of cold drinks, ice cream, milkshakes, frappes, and tea. Not to mention various food items, including breakfast, brunch, pastries, and desserts!
This coffee truck is open every day except Monday. Tuesday through Friday, they open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. And on Sunday, they’ll be open for business from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Don’t forget to wash your hands before eating! This coffee truck features an outdoor sink adjacent to their vehicle and a bathroom located directly in front of it. And if you’re looking to plant-see and adopt a leafy friend while sipping on a warm mug, Friend of the Farmer Café has you covered.
